The Great White North Franchisee Association is closely monitoring the Ontario Government’s Employment Standards Review on your behalf. This Review Panel is looking at raising the minimum wage to $15.00, introducing mandatory 3-week vacations, mandatory 10-day paid sick leave, and eliminating secret ballots for unionization, among other initiatives.

Once the Final Report has been issued, we will begin lobbying aggressively to put forward your concerns. We understand there is a chance that this Final Report will be released mid-May, much earlier than had been anticipated, so we will get our lobbying efforts underway as quickly as possible.

We’ re pleased to advise you that Mark Wafer along with trusted advisors will head up the lobbying efforts, and will be working closely with other foodservice chains, restaurant associations, chambers of commerce and other business groups.
